Crochet Christmas Decorations

I have been crocheting these owls and birds from Vanessa Mooncie's books. I decided to use them to decorate my Christmas tree this year. I crocheted squirrels and fawns for this forest creatures Christmas tree. I hope that you enjoy this photo tour of my little house.

Vanessa Mooncie's  Owls and birds pattern book is wonderful.  I really enjoyed making these birds.

Crochet mushrooms decorating my mantel.
In my dinning room I decorated this Christmas tree with fruit ornaments and dried oranges. The floral centerpiece has artificial and natural fresh greenery; mixing these two elements makes the arrangement more realistic.

For my kitchen I made this crochet wreath with squirrel and acorns to keep the Crochet Christmas Decoration around the house.

I made the gingerbread house out of wood plank, and decorated with white caulking for molding and trims. Now I can enjoy this gingerbread for years to come.
For my living room I decided to decorate with gold ornaments.

I want to wish you a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year with all my heart. This year has been so challenging for all of us in the world. But God is in charge; I am grateful for the health and the recovery we all had.  I have faith and hope that all this will pass; and we will be able to see people's faces and shake hands again. I'm feeling in my heart the scripture in Psalm 23:4  "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff will comfort me". God protect, guide and correct for our good. I can see the rainbow after the rain. Keep yourself safe and healthy.

Making Sheepskin Rug

I made this  sheep rug. I wanted to share the pattern, but I don't want  problems with the book's copyright.

My book: Stitch by Stitch (volume 13) is printed in 1985. I have seen this pattern for sale on Etsy.

The pattern in the book is really easy to follow and understand. I decided to change the yarn color for the grass.

Working 9th row. The sheep body section on this pattern starts from the tail toward the neck.

Finishing body section

Ready to sew face to body.

Sewing the grass section.

I didn't want to embroider the eye as the pattern suggested. I wanted a rug look on the face.

I really like my sheep rug. It measures 35 inches long by 41 inches wide.
I placed my rug in the bathroom.

~Have a wonderful day full of beautiful things you love~

The Beauty Of Flowers

On Every Rose
I see His blood upon the rose
And in the stars the glory of His eyes,
His body gleams amid eternal snows
His tears fall from the skies.
 I see His face in every flower;
The thunder and the surging of the birds
Are but His voice and carven by His power
Rocks are His written  words.
All pathways by His feet are worn,
His strong heart stirs the ever-beating sea,
His crown of thorns is twined with every thorn
His cross is every tree.
